Shorecrest’s Eclectic Potpourri

Shorecrest is located in Miami’s Upper East Side. This historic neighborhood lies east of Biscayne Boulevard and is bordered by the Little River to the south, NE 87 Street to the north and Biscayne Bay to the east.  It is a gem of a neighborhood comprised of mostly single-family homes, but multifamily apartments are scattered throughout the community adding both density and diversity to one of my favorite neighborhoods in Miami.

There are some great historic homes in the Shorecrest. Take a look at a few of my favorites…

Lots of potential, need TLC.

The front porch is a great place to relax and watch over the street. Eyes on the street make the neighborhood safer.

A diversity of buildings adds character to the neighborhood.

A unique coral rock home.

A 1932 historic Shorecrest home, with in-law quarters in the rear.

A hidden gem…

Just another great historic Shorecrest home…

The diversity of homes is great…

Another beautiful Shorecrest home.

There are also a couple of slick modern homes in Shorecrest.

Interesting modern home, makes the community eclectic.

What a view from the living room.

Most of the streets in Shorecrest have very little traffic so it’s a great neighborhood for a bike ride. They even have speed bumps that help calm traffic…terrific!

Traffic calming makes the streets on Shorecrest safer for everyone…
