Comras Company has signed their first Wynwood tenant. Fontini Mosaici, has taken 2,300 sq ft. at the recently remolded warehouse located at 2300 NW 2nd Ave in Wynwood. This cherry property is well located next door to Panther Coffee, otherwise known as the heart and soul of Wynwood. Comras purchased the warehouse in 2008 for $1.6 million and has since retrofitted the existing structure to better serve retailers by adding high windows and doors along NW 2nd Avenue and NW 23rd Street. Plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems have been updated as well.

Fontani Mosaici is a high-end mosaic tiles retailer. They were originally located in the Design District and last year the store moved to the 2100 block of NW 2nd Avenue. Seems like they wanted to be a little closer to all the action in Wynwood, so the store is moving up the street to a much better location and they signed a 5-year lease. Fontani Moscai has leased the middle bay along NW 2nd Avenue and they should be opening their doors sometime in April.
There is currently another 10,000 sq ft available to lease in this building. The right tenant mix is extremely important. The Comras Company is looking for at leaset 2 and possibly 3 restaurants to divide approximately 5,000 sq ft. The remaining 5,000 sq ft would remain as dry retail; either a showroom or home design store.
