A fence with gaping holes will not prevent or reduce crime.
The first of several fences in Belle Meade has been erected and we the taxpayer have now officially gotten screwed (again). I’m not sure what the final price tag was on the fence, but estimates were in the ballpark of $50-70k. As you can see from the pictures the fence won’t do anything to prevent crime in Belle Meade. What it has done is made my beautiful neighborhood look more like a prison. What a waste of money. If you think this money could have been more wisely spent, please send Commissioner Sarnoff an email and let him know that this fence won’t do anything to prevent crime.
