Recommended Read:  48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene

Right now I’m reading  The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and it’s fascinating. This New York Time Best Seller takes three thousand years of the history of power and uses them to create 48 Laws of Power. Each of the 48 powers are laid out, and then individually explained through historical events and the people involved.

It has an impressive 4.5 Star Rating with over 2,500 Reviews on Amazon. Many of the reviewers mentioned that the book is thought-provoking and provides a new perspective on the world. Each law focuses around grappling for power, and how to overcome and play upon basic human emotions and instincts to wrench it away for yourself. Because of this, it’s not a warm and fuzzy read, which makes some people feel that it’s too jaded and harsh to enjoy.

However, if you’d love to gain depth and insight into some of the most pivotal events and people in history, and how power plays still work today, it’s absolutely worth your time.

Here’s a great video that showcases all 48 Laws of Power and one brief example from a historical figure that illustrates it. Perfect if you’re on the fence about wanting to read it, or if you’d prefer the cliff notes version.

Have you ever read the 48 Laws of Power? Would you consider reading it? Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
